Help me pick my next Reef safe Fish

I love my hogfish! Great personality, lots of swimming, fun to watch, good eater, and doesn't bother corals or inverts at all. Mine does pick on smaller fish some, but it's the big fish in my tank, certainly wouldn't be in yours.

I will have a sailfin tang, orange shoulder tang and a lunare wrasse available soon. $20 ea tang $18 wrasse. All about 3-4 in long. all friendly fish.

i had put a sailfin in the tank but my purple tang killed it so i am not going down that road again.. thanks though..

You could get a Harlequin Tusk. Mine is reef safe and eats flakes and pellets

that is a cool looking fish... what do they cost?

but i wonder how he will do with all the other tangs that i have in my tank...

if i were you id go w/a school of flasher wrasses or a few fairy wrasses or a peppermint hogfish. I have a candy hog but dont like it all that much. I also have a MI but he's not safe wife clams or some lps.

Australian ones costs more and more colorful than the Indo ones. I bought mine from a friend so I don't know the exact price range but I think its around $60-$90 at the LFS. Mine is 3.5" and not aggressive and eat pellets, flakes, and mysis

Heard the Hawaiin ones fare better. I just bought two myself when I was in Hawaii over the weekend and packed it as part of my luggages. They are difficult to keep so I'm hoping I can suceed and get them to eat.

lol a school of them? really can you do that? now that would look nice..

you can, they do better in groups but now that i think about it...the flashers are really small and your crosshatch might eat 'em. the fairy wrasses are bigger so you could go w/some of them, the peppermint hog and a mystery....only prob is they're kinda expensive and hard to find.

also, w/all those tangs a moorish idol might just get beat up.

oh yeah, and you can get a mystery for a lot cheaper than $200....probably less than a hundred. Peppermints are hard to find but they're cool(watch out they jump like all other wrasses)
