Help me with my lighting schedule

I have my photoperiod set for 12 hours a day. this is on my 50 gallon artisan cube.

2x24 watt t5, Blue +(Come on at 10am and go off at 10pm)
1x150 watt 14k MH HQI(Comes on at 12 and goes off at pm)

Does this time limit seem to long? I have a browned out Tri color Nana that is growing but browning out.it only has purple tips

i've heard of people running halides longer than 8 hours. i started with 8 hours then slowly moved to 6 hours. i haven't noticed any difference between 8 and 6 hours...so me being cheap, i stuck with 6 hours.

I run 6 T5 on my 20 gallon, 3 ati aquablues and 3 actinic plus.

3 pm 2 actinics click on 1:30 am they switch off
4 pm 1 actinic 1 aquablue off at midnight
5 pm two aquablues off at 11 pm

My lights come on later in the day as I am a grad student and I am seldom ever home before 10 or 11 pm. Sometimes the best part of my day is getting home to see my tank.

If it is the brown color of your sps that worry you, this sounds more like a nutrient problem. As I understand it, too much light causes sps to bleach, not turn brown. But I may be wrong.

So, with that, what are your parameters? The full picture may help us to solve your problem...
