like the tittle say tomorrow m moving my aquarium is a 65 gal 6 months old any ideas how to do it should i leave the same sand or buy a new one , some ppl just told me to rinse the water with rodi water but idk cause this going to cost me time since i have to take everything out n i need to drive 1 hr to the new place ...

I moved 30 minutes away and drained the water (kept half) and left the sand bed alone.

Set it back up and everything was fine.

Best of luck!

I moved 1000+ miles without an increase in NO3 or PO4.

I put the live rock, coral, and fish in tubberware containers, get the tall containers to prevent splashing. Then I drained the water to the level of the sand and put everything in my vehicle. I drove 1000 miles and rebuild the aquarium.

i did the same but i take the sand out cause was to heavy for me and my wife i wash the sand with the water tank a couple of time i set everything up this sunday today i did my water test and don't have ammonia but have some
nitrite 0-0.05
nitrate 5-10
ph 7.8
alk 7.84

sadly i dnt have phosphate test kit i just want to know if am going to have a mini cycle or not ? and if the answer is yes when for my bad luck i have to go out for 6 weeks next monday :S and my wife dont know so much of this thing ......
