I have gbta with maroon clown. My bta just released looks like bunch small eggs from the mouth. The color of the eggs looks like gray or light black color. the tank is now very cloudy. What should i do. Do a water change or is it ok.

If its a small tank a wc might be a good idea, with some carbon. If its a larger tank the skimmer should clear it in a few hours. Just make sure it is eggs or sperm and not the nem itself deteriorating.

How do u know if its sprem or egg. Its 125 and i have small skimmer running on it. Right nnow the skimmer is not even skimming no bubbles.

is this what happens when the bta is dieing. I dont know if its eggs or not . It look like small eggs coming from the mouth of the bta black dots little bigger then pepper. What happens when the bta dies? Does it release things form its mouth? There wouldnt be eggs coming from the bta mouth though right? So does this mean my bta is going down hill.

Nems spawnings are reported here from time to time, but still fairly rare. Any pics I've seen the eggs have always been whitish. If it is eggs, yes, it would come from the mouth. If the nem is inflated and you don't see any signs of tissue necrosis it should be fine. I'd do a WC and run some fresh carbon to be on the safe side.

thanks just look at my skimmer on the bottom edge of the collection cup is like pink goo. Now there things floating around in the tank like stringy goo. Ill do water change.

Do you have more than one BTA in your tank? Females are much more likely to spawn if there is a male in the same tank. Likewise, your comment about the tank being "cloudy". The tank should not be cloudy at all if it is just a lone female spawning. Sounds to me like you have at least one male BTA in there somewhere?

I've had anemones spawn in my tanks and I actually didn't do anything other than watch (I'm a pervert like that) because I noticed that all the corals opened up and were obviously enjoying what they were catching. Didn't have any baby anemones anywhere in the tank either though.
I don't know the sex of this one but it's what it looked like when it was spawning. When it's defecating it looks, uh, different.

Black dots bigger then pepper sounds like fecal matter. Does not explain clouding of the water, that would likely be from another source or your BTA could be a Male.

fwiw: The only BTA eggs I have seen were greenish.

Mine came out in funnel like. It was like big sack of eggs. When it hit the water column the sack broke and all the eggs went everywhere.
