Help need Kalk!!

Well just to add insult to injury this week im goin out of town tom AM I go to make up a large batch of topoff so i can set the reef on outo pilot for the week and what do ya know out of KALK whHAT!!! IDOIT<~~~~ So my question is does any Eastsider know of anywhere i could purchace said product like TONITE DOAHHH!!!

Have you tried Wal-Mart, Giant Eagle or any other local grocery store for Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime? It is the same calcium hydroxide and used by MANY reefers instead of aquarium branded kalk powder.

Yep... same dosing procedure, quantity, everything. It is usually found in the canning section near the mason jars but gets harder to find when it is not the fall canning season.

It runs about $3/lb so probably 1/3 the price instead of half.

Now im gonna do three water changes two top off buckets and alot of pre portioned feeding cups labeled with explicit directions !!!!!!!! and then i can start to pack and try to find a few mins of sleep so i can catch my plane in the mornin.......
And i hope i dont have to put out a SOS....lol...not funny really my Tanks dont like not getting there 4 hrs plus attention each and everyday!!!!! thay get mad when i leave ..ok im outta breath Peace!!
