First off, what a great site and forum for SPS reefers! :D

I have a few requests for help regarding indentification of these. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

#1
This has been a quick growing millipora.

I fragged/pruned this about 1.5 weeks ago and it has skinned over already and creating new buds.

#2 A capricorn. More for reference...This one behaves rather oddly as it sends up towers all over its surface. Compare that to "normal" caps that are growing with it. Is this common?

#3 Another milli-type
This one is a moderate speed grower. This colony started from a 1.5" frag about 1.5 years ago.

Feel to offer any other thoughts on the corals too.

Thank you!

1st one is definatley millepora. The monti I think is not a cap but some other species. The other 'mille' type is not a millepora at all but could be a a.tenius

Thanks. You are correct on the A. Tenius.

Does anyone have thought son the exact species of Milli and the odd looking "cap"?

Thank you!

Millepora is the the exact species. It is acropora millepora...thats all.

As for the montipora I have still have no idea on the exact speices.

Could be Montipora Spongodes, M. Vietnamensis, or M. Confusa. All can appear similar based on lighing and flow.
