help on shipping

hey guys there is a guy who is shipping me a hammer coral and he has never shipped coral before. I have tried to give him a quick run down on how to do it. does anyone have any other easy way or quick tips that i can share with him??

A friend sent me a few corals; he bought a cheap coffee thermos and FedEx it to me. It lived.

you will want him to rubberband styrofoam to the skeleton of the coral so that it floats in a bag. 1/2 of the bag should be air other half, water so that it floats. ship fedX priority ON and I would personally pick it up at fedX station if doing it this time of year.

Search through Advanced Aquarist online mag at reefs.org. They have an article a couple of years old by Rich Durso that is good.
