HELP!!!! pink streak wrasse QT mishap

Okay so last night was my 4th of 5th tank transfer.

Everything was as per usual.
Dosed double dose of Prazi pro.
Setup and transferred fish by hand as usual.

Well this morning I check on him and my temp is at about 62. Maybe even 60. And heater wasn't coming on......

I got the water back up to temp as quickly as possible about 30 min....

I also put an AC 50 with carbon to remove any Prazi pro

I can tell he is still alive as he is breathing (barely) and if I lightly pinch his tail to help him swim he will swim away eventually. I have tried helping him swim just to get water passing through the gills but anything I can do to revive this fish in this condition?

Or is a waiting game now?

Ugh.....never using 2nd hand heaters again......

net him and move him headfirst gently about the tank: I've done this with fish to help get oxygen through their gills. Warm the water at a decent rate, but not enough to shock him.

Pretty sure he's a goner.....then he twitches like this and still has shallow breathing....how long should I be attempting to revive him did it for about 10 minutes and now he is doing this.

He still tried to swim away when I pinch his tail lightly but otherwise just lays on his side....

Should I wait a day? Or is that considered dead?

On a side note wrasses are sensitive to PraziPro, it's best to dilute it to 80% of the recommended dosage when treating wrasses. If you actually doubled the PraziPro dosage that may be what is killing it.

Yeah I think this combined with the temp drop.....i will check on him but I am expecting the worst ..

One wrasse (orange back) I ordered from liveaquaria in winter came with water temperature in the bag around 55 degrees. At the first the fish was completely unresponsive, breathing maybe once every 15secs or so. I followed the regular acclimation procedure and he was fine by the time I put him to qt. That fish is till alive today.

What you see might be poisoning.

Hey is still shallow breathing by the looks of it ... I'm going to leave him overnight and see how he is.

Nah he's dead AF.........grrrr so mad at myself......i have heard on this forum some types of flukes take a double dose of Prazi so was trying to be cautious......but apparently done ever double dose prazi.....or use 2nd hand heaters as im sure that didn't help matters....was on a waitlist for 1 year for this fish:(

Just getting a 6 line next time eff it lol

Don't give up! I've been seeing a lot more of them in stores lately. Mine is one of my favorite fish. Get back on that waitlist.. maybe it's shorter.

Yeah I just take this stuff pretty hard.....i don't buy fish to kill them or without doing loads of research first and I was so happy when I finally got him to have him pass from something as silly as this after spending 54 on him is really disheartening. But I guess we wouldn't be anywhere in this hobby if it wasn't for learning from out failures and rectifying it next time
