Hi, I woke up this AM to find my Derasa with a crimp in his mantle, actually two crimps one towards each end of the clam, but the one on the left is the worst.
He was fine yesterday. I added a crocea last week, but it isn't showing any signs of PM.
Could this be something besides PM...not seeing any thing on the shell that might be causing him to withdraw his mantle. Also, he isn't as responsive to touching and shadows as he usually is.
How long should I wait to see if it straightens out by itself before I do a fresh water dip?
My husband usually does the parameters check and he isn't here...I just have the strips and my nitrates are high at about 20 (I've been having a diatom/cyano bloom) water change is scheduled for later tonight (we're making RO/DI) but I don't know if I should wait to see if that fixes the clam.
Recommendations please!
Thanks much
