Help please, lateral line disease

My Yellow Tang is starting to show signs of lateral line and head disease. I read that filtering with carbon could cause this disease. I was using carbon filter cartridges until this morning. I stopped in hopes to reverse the problem. Is there anything more that I can do to help my tang? He gets a regular feeding of seaweed and eats pretty much everything else that is fed to my tanks inhabitants so I don't think that it is a nutrition issue. Thanks.

I read that stray voltage could be a cause, do you have a grounding probe installed?

No grounding probe, in fact I must say I have never heard of it. I will research it today though and thanks!
