Hi RC member

I was setting up an ato and all of a sudden I am seeing this coming in through the return. Completly floating around. They look like micro bubbles to me

This is the sump with the tank on. Water is clear as a bell

With the tank off

Tanks been running about 2 weeks with no sign of this whatever
Does anyone have a suggestion on what may be causing this ?
Thanks guys.

bacteria starting up, probably. Your ato is best managed, btw, with a reducer hose coupling going down to a 1/4 inch, if you're coming straight off a larger diameter pump output.

My guess is that the water level in the sump is too low and the return pump started taking in air. Sometimes a whirlpool effect will take place and the result is a bunch of bubbles in the DT.

I added Stability about 2 hrs ago. Could that do it?

Nope. There's 2 inches of water over that pump with no vortexing.
Thanks though.

I've had this happen with 2" of water above the intake of my pump before. Just for clarification though, if you do turn off the return pump the bubbles do go away?

Put RO in (top off). Even if you don't think it is the issue. It's an easy test to do and see if it works. I am sure I am not the only one thinking it. I am just the second person to urge you to try it. Sometimes there is air coming in the lines at points you don't realize. Just put some water in and see if it works.
