Ok so i have had my clownfish for 2 years now and i am on vacation and the person taking care of my clownfish says that there are some gray egg looking things on a coral/rock and she swears that she can see black dots in the egg things. so of course i think that they are clownfish eggs because i have read up on this topic hoping that someday my clownfish would actually breed. well of course it happens when im on vacation! i am confused though because she says that the clownfish arent even protecting the eggs and the male is not fanning them. although there are no other fish in the tank i would still think that they would protect the eggs. so this is why i am wondering if they really are clownfish eggs or if they are something else. if you have ever heard of clownfish not protecting there eggs please let me know.

Mine have never protected their eggs all the time. Once in a while I will notice them cleaning/fanning the eggs, but most of the time they act like they do when they don't have eggs.

Plus, if this is your first batch, I wouldn't worry too much, they will get better with each batch they lay.

As long as theirs nothing else in the tank dont worry about it. If you have any snails or crabs then their might be a little issue.
