Help....Question about skimmer??

I woke up this morning and the pump for my skimmer is not pumping water. Does anyone knows where I can get a euro-reef RS153 replacement pump asap? or any diff brand that would fit this euro-reef skimmer model.

Euro-Reef RS-135 Protein Skimmer
Pump (included): SP3- Euro-Reef modified SEDRA KSP-5000A water pump
Pump power consumption: 40 Watts @ 115/120 VAC 60hz
Air intake: 660 lph

Have you opened it up, mabye its clogged up with sediment or gunk? or even calcium deposit.. ( maybe talking out of my arse here )...

Thanks Charles, I think I will do that later on when I get back home. I was in a rush to work this morning that didn't have a chance to take a look closely. I will be out of town for a few days and just can't imagine not having the skimmer running in the tank.

I don't blame you. I clean out my deltec MCE600 every month or so.. the whole thing gets blasted with hot water to knockoff all the crud...and I mean tons of crud come off.

My skimmer had a problem for 2 weeks so it was shut down.

The corals actually seemed to like it being broken, although I did not like the increaseing nitrates and the color of the water.

If it's down for even just a few days I don't think it will be that big of a deal.

KEEP IN MIND after I started it back up it needed major adjustment to keep from overflowing, so keep that in mind when it comes back online.
