Help reading kh/alk test

I did the salifert test . It says hold the syringe with tip facing upward and read the postion of the, now the upper end , of the the black part of the piston.

I don't understand what the heck it says . Anyway the syringe ended at the mark on 0.02 how the heck do i get the reading on that ?? Can someone please explain ????/

if you get the reading of .02 then your alk is 16 dKH or 5.71 meq/L. all you do is look at the chart and find where your reading is on the chart. then look at the corresponding numbers.

Oh OK, Cause it said something (1- reading in step 5 ) x 16

You can do the math, too, if you wish. I just use the chart.
