Hey guys,
I've been running a standard 55 gallon tank as our frag tank.
It's worked well for LPS and some SPS, but I really want to make it a little more suited to handle more SPS.
Equipment is as follows:
Marineland 55 Gallon Glass Tank
(2) 120 Watt Dimmable LED Fixtures - 55 x 3 watt LEDs each
Sicce Voyager 2 Powerhead
Modded MJ1200
Eheim 2075 Canister Filter (Filled with LR Rubble)
Aqua-C Remora HOB Skimmer w/ MJ1200
Ehiem 300watt Heater
3 Pieces of live rock and 1.5" sand bed
My idea after removing all coral is as follows:
- Fill half off the canister filter with MarinePure spheres and remove the sand and live rock. Use MarinePure media in my quarantines and display.
- Take out the old powerheads and replace with two Jebao WP25s running in else mode.
- Redo the racks...
I don't dose anything either...
Do you guys think this should be an OK setup for SPS?
What should I dose, if anything? My parameters are all in check, PH and KH are a tiny bit low.
Here are some pics in it's current state:
Thanks guys!
