help sea hare poisoned my aquarium

hi i got a sea hare, this moring everything was good and 4 hours later my fishes seemed like they were dazed?? what can i do to remove the poison in my 75 sw tank? i did a water change 10g and then 2 hours late another 10g. they seeme to be snaping out of it but is there something else i can do??

Run Carbon! A 20% water change tomorrow. You should get through this. Just don't stress with extra food. Do everything normally, no matter how tempted.

k thats what i will do. also the posion makes like everything detiorate my star fish, fishes fins, cloudy eyes

Eyes and fins will recover. If starfish deteriorates, pull him out to a bucket where he can live or die without sending nitrates through the roof. Monitor your nitrite/nitrate/ammonia every few hours, do another water change if it rises, and watch your fish for signs of oxygen shortage, gasping, etc. Up the skimming, which increases oxygen, and if you see gasping, add a bubble line from an airpump, if you can acquire one at this hour. 24 hour walmart might have one.

but how come the poison is so toxic to make evrything deteriorate so fast?

Toxic, and maybe caustic. What you describe sounds like burns.

Tell you what, check the ph, among other things, and buffer if the ph is less than 8.2-8.3.

ok i did a 20% water change everything seems to be going well but my blond naso tang is stilled dazed and the eys is still cloudy... do u think i can add some melafix or prima fix to clear out the cloudy eyes since its a good product
