help stopping auto top off container overflow

I have my RO system pushing water to my top off container. The float switch in the container is not "strong" enough to stop the water when it is full. Any help on how to setup this system?

Have you tried adjusting the float, if yours is adjustable.
I have also seen people put an empty gator aid bottle zip tied to thr valve to help with better buoyancy.

Connecting the ATO container to your RODI unit can be problematic if the RODI unit is always active. The issue is that you are running the RODI for very short periods. Since the initial volume of water leaving the RODI has the highest concentrations of TDS, you will run the DI media out much quicker than if you were running it for long stretches of time to fill an almost empty container.

I typically run my RODI overnight into a Brute garbage can and then pump it into my RODI container. The unit isn't fast enough to overflow the Brute in one overnight run so I don't have to rely on anything shutting off the flow when I'm not paying attention. I just turn off the sink when I let the dogs out in the morning.

Like said, You need a auto shut off valve for a float switch to properly shut off the water supply to the RO unit. They are less than 10 dollars at BRS.

Like Rocketengineer said, cycling your RO system on and off frequently is inefficient and depletes your DI resin more quickly.

I have my RO/DI emptying into a 30 gallon plastic bin with one of these That way if I forget to go down and shut off the system it won't overflow.

This is what you need!!! That cube is the important part. DON'T use just a float valve!
