HELP! Strange fish problem

I have a fish with 3 glass slivers in its mouth. I had a heater burst about 9 months ago. I cleaned up the shards and vaccumed the sand as best I could. I have no problems since. It doesn't seem to be hurting the fish. It can still eat and swim fine. Normally I trap the fish grab and use a pair of tweezers. The fish that this happened to is a forktail bleeny ie Saber-tooth Blenny. I really don't feel like getting bit, but its fairly tame. It likes to swim against my hand while I clean the tank. That freaked me out the first time. A least my foxface hides when I clean.

I think trying to pull them out would cause more damage than leaving them in. I would wait to see what happens.

I would think that sooner or later it would work its way out. It does on people right?
