help.. tiny starfish taking over my tank

hmmmm EELS cant get icks.... they r immue to it because of their coated skins....

my eel.... hiz been trained LOL.... im soo serious u can train eels..

the thing is i dont want to get that harlequim shrimp because I watnt o be able to keep something alive when i get it you know? i dont want to get it and like use it and let it die...... itz sad... lol

iono.... i just dont want to like get something that i expect is gonna die.....

i think imma just wait for the stars to culture more of themselves then get the shrimp... so like there is no way the shrimp can wipe all of them out .... so it goes in a cycle... LOL i hope it works thou....

the thing is those starfishz r small... and one of the shrimps consume alot of them.... so i dont think that 150 of those little ones can satisify one shrimp =/

no clowns do get it. your thinking of other fish...for instance they say manderines are resistant due to coating. true fact but not with damsels (clowns)

Sorry thats what it was manderins. I knew it was somthing i bought. Alright back to the topic.

I would recommend Harlequen shrimp if you really want to get rid of them. However the stars you've shown in the picture are reefsave and would effectively control your nitrate level. So I'd leave them alone if I were you. Plus Harlequen shrimp will starve to death once it runs out of supply of stars because that's the only thing they eat. That means a constant $$ to purchase stars to feed your shrimp.

actually a harlequin shrimp will survive happily on one chocolate chip star a month. They arent hard to take care of but even though your eel might not be bothering other things (for now). new additions are usually looked upon as dinner to existing tank inhabitantslike your eel. And if you are getting ick you either recently added something without QT-ing it or there somthing causing some major stress in your tank. (maybe the eel)
