I just recieved and hooked up a pan world 50 px and am getting a ton of micro bubbles. My old pump was a little giant 2-MDQ-SC. with it I didn't get the bubbles. I already have a sponge to stop bubbles it is not working. I think that the new pump is pulling the water to fast I tried adjusting the flow nothing works. Would you guys be willing to swap the pump out for a PW-40PX the flow is about the same as the little giant. I would need the new pump before i sent the bigger one back because i had to re do my plumbing to accomidate the 3/4 mpt. Any thing you guys can do would be great. Thank you in advance

Hi Chris,

I would recommend going back and redoing the inlet plumbing on the pump. The pump has a very small air leak somewhere from the bulkhead to the front cover plumbing, which is creating a venturi effect, sucking in the air bubbles.

I will have to agree with Jeremy on this. Similar thing happened with my Velocity T2. If you have the time, turn off the pump, after about an hour (if there is a air leak) you should notice a drip or two of water. This will only happen with the pump off.

Last night I sealed the inlet lumbing with silcone so when I get home from work Hopefully the bubbles will be gone will it only suck in air on the inlet side of the pump? Thanks guys

Yes, only the inlet side will suck air. If it was on the output side you would have a water drip. THat could be so slow that you wouldn't notice right away, but after time you would notice salt creep near the leak. I have experienced both.

well got home from work and still have bubbles? Good the pump be sucking in air if it is not sealed right at the voltile? I have the cpr cy194 sump. I don't know what else to try. Any help would be great.

If you do not have an air tight seal on the connection at the volute then it can still pull in air. Also, you may want to turn the pump off for a day or two as well to see if you get any type of leak or anything out of it.

What are you using for your plumbing?
