Help: Two Maroon Clownfish

Okay So i've had a gold stripe maroon clown for a while, pretty big now, and i decided to get another maroon clown to see if they will pair up. So i got another Goldstripe maroon clown today, smaller of course (noticably smaller) and acclimated it and put it in the tank. As soon as he was put in the tank the older clown swam up to him and they started what looks like "nipping" at each other, and then chasing eachother around... I'm guessing thats a bad thing. I obviously took the small clown back out and am asking you guys for advice... what should i do?

After that, the bigger clown started chacing and "nibbling" on the smaller one... THe smaller one finally hid in the corner of the tank until the bigger one found him, and then the Nibbling/chasing continued.

update: let small maroon out of strawberry crate... he is basically hiding in the top corner of the tank, and slowly coming out to the front, but the female sees him every time and starts chasing him around again... There seems to be less "fighting" though, and more "chasing"... I dont know if thats good or bad.

Quick question you guys, I kinda need to know quick too... Lights are going out at 10:30... should I keep him in the strawberry basket? I already tried releasing him for a little but he still was getting chased around... please help quick

your doing exactly what i did with mine. by putting the smaller clown in the container and letting it out for a period of time i did that for about three days and at first the fighting was horrible then it slowly got better until i just got tired of catching the little guy and let him fend for himself after about a week they were a couple!
i got my larger maroon about two years before i introduced the wee one and i guess the bigger clown is more familiar with me and the smaller one has little man syndrome or something because every time i move something around in the part of the tank that they live in she wont bother me but he will charge and bite me despite waving "the hand" at him she tries to keep him in line!

sorry i just watched those videos and if you notice how the little one is kinda kissing the bigger ones side? thats a sign of him submitting to her. thats a very good sign and she doesn't seem to be as ****ed as mine was so i think your on the right track
