help velvet

I think my clown fish has velvet and I heard that the ananomy will clean the fish can any one give me some suggestions on what to do thanks

I had successfully treat marine velvet with hypo combined with copper treatment. Search for hyposalinity and copper treating

my bad. Please do NOT treat it with copper if you have invertabrate as it will definitely kill them.

Only proven way to kill velvet is with Copper and as stated it will kill any inverts. Buy a small 10 gallon tank with a sponge filter and heater. Treat clown for 4-6 weeks in copper (my personal preference is Cupramine.) Leave other tank fishless for the same period. I'm assuming that is the only fish? Otherwise you have to remove and treat all fish, in which case you may need a bigger tank.

Don't buy into any of those Reef Safe Cures. Not a single one has been proven to work. Nor does buying a UV cure your tank.
