Help w/Multicontroller

Hi Roger,

I have two Tunze 6000 streams w/multicontroller (speed, wave simulation, tidal currents). I purchased the kit in 2003.

The controller isn't working properly and I can't tell if it’s a user error or controller malfunction.

I can’t get the streams to alternate; it worked fine for a while but it seems like I can only get both to operate concurrently.

Is there a way to tell if it's a controller issue? The feed button works fine but no other settings seem to affect the streams.

Can you describe the appropriate settings or point me to a settings document?

On the 7094 to get the pumps to alternate you need to be in tide mode (two arrows pointed at each other) and one pump should be in the first socket and one in the last socket. You then set the interval using the switch and knob.

Thanks Roger

I set the 7094 to tide mode w/pumps in the first and last socket; but, still no luck. Only one pump works in this config.

Any recommendations for troubleshooting?

Thanks!

Is the photocell connected? Night mode locks it on the first pump. If the photocell is in darkness or the socket has a short from salt creep or water that could be a cause.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The photocell is not/has never been connected and because of the location, the controller is not exposed to salt creep or water.

The only other option that comes to mind is the switch is broken for the mode setting. The swicth works by having a ball that slides and creates contact and the ball can break free and stay behind so the program doesn't change. I can repair this though most 7094 parts are no longer available.

The switch replacement is rather complicated but if you can desolder using a vacuum or solder wick and resolder in the new one I could send it.

I think I better send it .

Should I use this address?

Thanks!

Please include a return address and phone number, likely by the time it arrives this message will be a few pages back and hard to remember. You can use the pumps without the controller in the meantime.
