So I bought a piece of live rock with zoa and a mushroom. This brown polyp is growing all over it and seems to be spreading everywhere. Thanks in advance.

The photo isn't clear enough to be sure, but they look like a type of hydroids to me. If so, they're a pest, and the only way I've been able to get rid of them is to dig them out of the rock with a screwdriver, or chip that chunk of the rock off.

This site "jails" those posts and normal users cannot see it until a moderator approves them (could be blocked for up to 24 hours or so). We can see the response from Anemone but can't see the original post (at this time)
