just got a pair of clown this past weekend( ocellaris), before i put them in , i made sure water params were good. 0 ammonia and nitrite, and really close to 0 on nitrate. So i get home from work, check up on them, and one of them in just still on the sand bed. I thought it was dying..so i wait for a few minutes, turn on the lights, then he/she seemed to be normal again. I was also thinking when i came home this evening, it was dark, so was it possibly sleeping or something? And note, that it doesnt eat much, just a few bites here and there, then starts to spit out the food which i am feeding mysis shrimp to both.
On the other hand, the other clown is normal but I'm starting to see some type of white fuzz on his back toward his upper fin. And he or she is swimming kinda fast around the tank, like its stressed out or something. I wish i could take a picture and show you guys, but its not possible right now.
When i first got the pair, they would never leave each other and was always at one part of the tank. I posted a new thread regarding that issue, and i got replies back on that being normal for clown especially introduced to a new tank.
So please help, this is my first salt water tank and had never owned clown or any othersalt water fishes.. thanks people
