Help with apex

Hi all

Am needing some help i hooked up my apex and found thru tech support i need to update engery bar and it has to be done by local network i only have a chrome net book that has no Ethernet plug
Has anyone done this update i seem to be at a dead end not being able hook up
Would anyone be willing to let me bring my apex over and help me update other wise steer me on how to go about it i hate to have to buy a new computer

I was in the exact same situation. I went out and bought a $150 Lenovo laptop just to do the update (and a 40' Ethernet cable to reach from my Apex to my modem).

I believe the latest generation of Apex controllers allow wireless updates, but these earlier gens are non-user friendly shall we say.

Tech told me i couldnt do it by wifi even on the new apex am so not happy

That so stinks - the firmware updates are the biggest pain with the Apex controllers. I only did it because I had to when I got DOS pumps - had to update to make them visible/controllable.

Fixed
