Help with bad crab.

After many nights and much research finally found the cause of my reason for noise (appearantly they can increase the hole size to acommadate his size) and the un ability to keep zoos may come down to this guy i found in my tank last night. Would injecting hot water in his hole kill him or cause harm to other close by coral such as a very healthy hammer.

You could do that or you could take a glass tilted near his hole with a piece of shrimp in it. I have heard that it will catch those little nasty guys and you can get him out.

I have treid that and it only fills with hermits. But a thought flashed at the same time perhaps some zoos. I guess a few could take it for the team.

fish traps are pretty cheap and work very well. most of the sponsors here on RC sell them.
i would not use shrimp due to the fast degridation causing sudden parameter changes. i would suggest freshly thawed silversides instead!

If you know which hole he is in, I recommend (from experience) a shish-kabob skewer. I had a couple of metal ones in the drawer. A chopstick would probably do it too, though less dramatically.
