Help with choosing a Tunze system

I have a 90 gallon tank with a 30 gallon refuguim and a 10 gallon sump. I currently have 3 Rio Seio powerheads that I am unsatisfied with. They are loud when used with a wavemaker and I don't like it.
As of this moment, I have no SPS corals, but I am planning on getting some once I have the water flow issues corrected. I have a few Hammer, torch and frogspawn that get blown all over by the powerheads.
I am hoping that the good folks at Tunze can can make my flow worries disapear.
Please advise
P.S. I prefer a system that can be on a controller.
Thank you

hello, i am in the same boat, i have a 90 gallon and have sort of a mixed reef.

i am seriously thinking about something that won't KILL or rip the polyps or what not, yet be strong enough to rough things up so i can get the detrius and dust from the back and dead areas when i need to.

i am currently running 4 maxis so I dont want to waste them all, but i am either deciding if i should get the 6060 or 6080. will a 6080 be over kill?

or should i wait and get a controller? i dont want to spend too much as i am on a tight budget.. thanks..

6060 and 6080 are constant non adjustable flow and cannot be use on wavemakers

6060 is 1600gph covering a 4ft by 2ft area

6080 is 2200gph covering almost a 6ft by 2ft area.

Roger, are you saying that a single 6080 may be sufficient to cover a small 6 foot tank?

Well, for a FOWLR or simple reef with a few polyps and softies yes. The flow is weak at the far end and it really depends what you are keeping.

Instructions for the Seio pumps clearly indicate that they are not to be used on wavemakers.... hence the noise, as you are ruining the ceramic bearings....
