Help with DIY Wavebox

Ok so as you already know, I have 2 Tunze Waveboxes for my 375 peninsula build. Since it's a peninsula, I'd LOVE to have the Waveboxes on the side of my over flow box (the only non viewing side of the tank). The issue is, they are about 1/4 of an inch too wide to squeeze into this spot. I saw a DIY thread that builds a custom box to fit the 6212 and I'm thinking I could shave that 1/4 off in my own build and maybe add that 1/4 inch to the height...what do you think? Am I losing that much wave/water volume in the box by getting rid of that 1/4 inch?

I COULD place them on the 30"x30" panel that looks down the 96" length of the tank, but I'd rather not. That's the last resort type of situation.

Lastly, is it ideal to place them both on the same end and pointing the same way, or have them opposite each other?

Thanks again for all you guys do!!

I don't think a 1/4" will make much difference provided the pumps still fit. I might add a 1/2" to the height to give it roughly the same volume. On long narrow tanks it is best to have them inverse, one on each side, I would recommend this if the tank was say 120 by 24 by 24, but with your dimensions, both on the same side is probably best.
