I was wondering if anyone has an explaination why the 250W Current USA SE 14k bulbs I bought will not fire in my odyssea MH fixture. I thought they were electronic ballasts capable of firing any HQI bulb. Any ideas?

I am not sure..but I thought current used a magnetic ballast. If so, that could be the problem. You might want to make sure what kind of ballast you have (electronic vs. Magnetic) and then buy your bulbs accordingly. Maybe someone else knows for sure..
Not to sound ridiculous, but are you sure you have 250w ballasts?
And are the contacts contacting--take out bulb and put it back, give it 10 min. if ballasts are hot.
