Hi, Im new to this so, my first forum maybe a little rough haha.
I have a LTA juts got it 3 days ago, I think its finally settled down and attached to something! :inlove: But, it doesnt seem to want to eat my krill that I feed my other fish. I gave my anemone a little piece of krill and I went away thinking hes eating it lol. I came back later and moved him a little bit because the anemone wasnt attached to anything then. I found out that the anemone didnt eat it and was just really like on top of him and the krill was covered with the anemones droppings lol so, Im concerned. Today ( I feed the anemone yesterday ) I was looking at the anemone and he was stressed and started to hide itself, and I saw a piece of krill next to him.... I turned on the coral light and it brought him back out thankfully! :fish2: So, what I want to know is why is my anemone not eating? Im pretty sure his sticky. Hes a tan color with some green ( thats the way I bought him ), Ide like to upload a picture but, i dont know how to really lol. So some help with uploading a picture would be great too!! :wavehand: Thanks alot! P.S. Im new to anemones so anymore help would be awesome!:)

What are your params?
I wouldnt try feeding again until it is settled in with its foot buried in the sand. How long has your tank been set up?

Im pretty sure, that the anemone is setttled in. Ive had this tank for 3 and like a half months, but see I had another tank and added that water to this aquarium so really its been set up for like 6 months or something like that.

Adding water from an established system doesnt help a new system. All the beneficial bacteria is in the rock and live sand. It is reccomended to wait at least 6 months before adding an anemone to a new tank, but you can still be sucessful if you keep your params in check. How long has the nem been in the tank? Is its foot buried in the sand?

Sorry should have said that I have live rock and live sand. Its been in my system for 3 days now, and Im pretty sure the foot is burried. My anemone is really low to the ground and theres alot of sand where it is. :) I can see the foot a little bit, but its not the orange part so im not sure if its burried haha. What do you suggest when feeding the anemone?

3 days and not attached? Shouldn't feed it in the first week, especially if not attached.

How deep is your sand? LTA's need 4~6" to bury in.

My nem wont eat krill I think im going to go to a store and get scallops and other stuff like that and mix it together. He is attached!!!! :) Thank goodness! I have like 3in. of sand but what I did was push up sand in one spot and thats where the nem is. :)
