help with my new trumpet please

hi guys new to the forum id greatly appreciate if u help me out yeaterday i aqcuired a large clump of trumpet coral i've had it in there for a day and no they look almost if it was skin sagging on bonees this morning some of it had a green neon film and it washed away there is still green in the middle is it dead or is it still getting used to the tank also i did a freswater dip could this have harmed them i got a lot of parrasites off ally my other coral r doin great thanks 4 ur help in advance:eek:

Sounds like it has only been a day or two since you've added it to your tank. Since you don't provide any information on your set-up or water parameters, I can only assume they are in check. Did you mishandle the trumpet coral when moving it? The freshwater dip would have done a number on it as well. Does it still inflate any? I wouldn't worry about anything though, it's a tough coral. Give it a little more time.
 
I would never do a freshwater dip for parasitic removal for any type of LPS. Freshwater dips are only recommended on zoas from what I understand. 4 minutes is way too long. If you are worried about something hitching its way on your corals then I would do a Lugol's, TMPCC, or Seachem Reef Disinfectant before I even thought about a freshwater dip. The freshwater did them in for sure.
 
fresh water dip for LPS - don't think it's a good idea. sofe corals maybe. hope it just harmed the outer skin of your trumpet and after "shedding" the demage, it'll be ok. good luck
