Hey guys I am having trouble with my over flow. I have one 2" bulkhead in my tank and I am using the over flow spout that came with tank. Tank is used. It is loud from water dropping down over flow. I have a gate valve. And when I get it adjusted so it's quite. The water level slowly rises over the course of about a week. Then I slowly back it off water in over flow drops really low and is loud again. I am trying to figure out a different method. Please help. Pictures where taken before tank was set up. For return I have it coming from behind tank becuSe of only having 1 bulk head

Although I am fairly certain that I'm the last guy to be making a suggestion, any chance that you could add a second bulkhead to your tank? Maybe get something through a company like glass holes.com?

This tank is up and running with fish. I wouldn't attempt to cut a hole while its set up. I don't know if I am brave enough to do it if it was empty. Can't really afford a new tank. I am having trouble affording a qt tank

This^. Durso will fix the noise issues with falling water. To adjust the level in the box with the durso, use a gate valve on your return and adjust the flow coming into the tank, to control the flow over the wier (teeth). With this your can keep the durso from "toilet" flushing. Works great!

If you don't want to modify anything and the pipes are not glued you can just flip the intake upside down so that the opening is facing downward. I did this to my hob overflow and it reduced the sound drastically. Running a piece of air tubing down the end cap and finding the sweet spot also ended up making mine dead silent. The tubing ended up being about a 1/2" below where the water comes in.

I may try that also. I am hoping to have time today to mess with it and trying to find a local place that has 1-1/2 in street 90 for Dorso might be difficult. No it's not glued. I will update with pictures of it works.
