Help with Purple Tang Diagnosis

I have a PT that was been in QT for a while that has white around its eyes (not spots, see image).

The white areas where originally around its lips/mouth visible on day 5.

The visible white areas where around its lips/mouth appeared reduced around day 10.

The visible white areas where around its lips/mouth appeared back to day 5 levels on day 14, but now also visible on around the top of the eyes.

My guess is bacterial or healing from physical damages so I started the Kana/Metro combination.

Around Day 23 the white on the mouth/lips is gone.

SeaChem ammonia badge is yellow

SG was 1.019-1.018 for 25 days, slowing raising it to 1.026, testing with two 1.026 calibrated refractometers

Normal behavior of the fish, not reclusive, not avoiding light, active every time I look.

Fish is eating everything I put in: NLS pellets; ON formula one, ON prime reef, frozn mysis, SF brand Omega and spirulina brine shrimp, and Nori.

They are prone to hlle, and some blame carbon. You might do a little reading on both. I am far form a tang expert, though.

I agree looks like the start of HLLE.

Stray voltage or current could play a role as well.

"The visible white areas where around its lips/mouth appeared reduced around day 10." "white on the mouth/lips is gone" I would disagree with the guesses its HLLE.....I dont believe symptoms go away that fast.

FWIW and for anyone else that encounters the same symptoms, the fish now has no signs of the white areas.

Admittedly I was getting tied of QT water changes. I convinced myself that what ever the problem was, it was not contagious and its time for DT. I know I jumped the gun, by not waiting ample amount of time from last treatment/symptoms.
