Help with rock life

I'm new to reefing and bought my first 2 pieces of live rock. Obviously it has some life and I'm just wondering what the stuff is.

When I brought it home it had these littel plants growing all over it and I dodn't like those so I tore them off.

Just wondering what this stuff is and if any of it needs to be removed.

you have multiple types of algae on that rock. the halimeda is fine, but you may want to get rid of the caulerpa.
the 2nd pic, looks dead, but not sure, any flesh?
3rd is a sponge
4th, couldn't even begin to venture a guess

id scrape the first rock and leave the other 3 as they are, the 2nd rock looks like 1 of 2 things, 1st it could be a dead coral skeleton, covered with corraline and it looks nice, or 2 it could be some kind of hard coral which may perc up eventually, its probably the 1st though, and if so no harm, i think it looks nice and id leave it alone and see what if anything occurs, as mentioned above, does rock 2 feel fleshy

The green fan shaped macroalgae is Halimeda. Slow growing, but uses calcium. Some people like it, it plagues some people. I'd try and get it out. The stringy green algae with grape looking clusters on it is caulerpa. Get it out, completely, or your day will be ruined.
