Help with substrate choice

Jeremy,

I want to change my substrate to get a different look. I don't know which to choose though, I would love a very white sand and fine, sugar sized sand seems like it will look very nice.

Is there a fine sand that might not blow around so much? I run two vortechs. I have been looking at these on your site, do you have any suggestions?

Hi,

Going with something that is ultra fine is bound to blow around some, just the nature of the beast with it. I can tell you that it will subside a little over time though as the sand "matures" in the system, although a ton of flow will still move it around.

The Aragasnow is exactly what you're looking for, plus it's ultra clean. The other three are going to be a bit bigger. The ESV is much more white than any other substrate out there, almost to a point to where it looks fake, however to each their own preference wise.

Personally, for what you're wanting I think the Aragasnow would be best, however if you want something with a little more weight look at the other three you listed.
