I have a wavebox that alarms from silver box. took out the impeller and put another one in there and it still does it? I put both impellers in the other wavebox pump both work fine? anyway to reset the alarm?

pump 6260.10
silver box 7240.27

The is not a way to reset the alarm, it is the driver sensing a fault or drag causing it. Often it is just a pump needing cleaned or a worn impeller. If you have already cleaned the pump and impeller including the bearing behind the impeller as well as swapped the other impeller to it it is likely the motor failing. Roger will be back on Monday and can give more info.

It is most likely the motor block has died and the only repair path is to upgrade to the 6215 pump, there is a retrofit kit for this, part 6260.015, which is the 6215.200, the new foam pan, 2 Orings and the new 6105.240 power supply.

I hooked the pump to the other driver box and it works. there is a bad transistor in the driver. how can I get a now driver box? and how much? thanks

The driver boxes were discontinued in 2009. I only occasionally have used refurbished ones. They have no warranty other than they will work on arrival and are $45 when I have them. I don't have any at this time, we see fewer and fewer good ones as these pumps get older. You might check on eBay and various used forums.

I have a new 6100 pump that I haven't used can I use that pump in the box instead of the 6260.10 or will it hurt it? I could take the driver off the 6100 I am just worried that the pump might have messed up the driver then I would be out 2 drivers

If the pump is OK and the driver is OK, it should work, if the pump is bad, it is possible for the pump to blow the driver. This combination would work because on average the pump pulsed on and off will never excede the wattage limit of the 6100, the drivers were the same, only 2 drivers for prop pumps were ever made and they were interchangeable, 7240.260 and 7240.270. The wavebox and 6200 absolutely needed the 7240.270.

ok that drive is still not working and I just don't want to mess up the good drive with out knowing the pump is ok. Is there a way to run the pump off the puck power supply to test the pump or just run it constant?

There is but the modification needed would essentially ruin the pump. You would have to cut off the 5 pin connector and bypass the sensor system and the pump would never be the same again and have no more functionality than a basic 6060 or 6080 that was not controllable. While I know it can be done, I honestly don't remember exactly how. I would just try the other driver, you just don't have much to loose, these pumps are all on numbered days, they are at least 5 years old and could be as much as 10 and for a controllable electronic pump that is the equivalent of being between 80-100, your number could be up at any minute. You will need to replace them fairly soon anyway.
