After multiple attempts, I am unable to connect. I have changed the password on the camera, but then when I try to type that password in, it does not recognize it, and I end up resetting the entire camera and starting over again. Any ideas? I have a Foscam F1890W and a Macbook Pro. My router is a Netgear. I would like to use an app on my phone for remote viewing (which app?) or use it on my ipad. I do have it usable wirelessly in my house via my Macbook, but I am unable to view it on any other device. Please advise, I'm ready to throw it out the window! I have already tried the port forwarding and it worked, however I cannot see it outside my own home wireless. I would also just like to be able to integrate it into my Apex Fusion website.

Im in the same boat.
I set up an IP webcam and i can view when im logged on to the network. But not away from home.

Basically i had to forward a port ...called port forwarding. With routers you have to give the camera a static IP so its the same everytime. The you make it discoverable outside your network with port forwarding ....and thats where im stuck. I give it acess and open ports and still no luck.

Foscam has a dedicated link for your camera called xxxxxx.myfoscam.org
When you see up the external access, it will give you the website name
When you set it up, you'll need a dedicated external port like 444 or 445 to pass the data through.
Also, try using standard definition unless you know that it is high def

To test it from a laptop, open that website and use your username and password. That should allow you to make changes remotely too.
