my bubble tip anemone (for 5 days) suddenly didn't seem right overnight, right after it detached itself from a rock last night,

it seem shrunk, abit wrinkled, and has this weird inflated bubble at its mouth that sometimes is there and sometimes isn't.. has been like this for the entire day..

so far my maroon hasn't hosted in it yet.. it does get some flakes that i drop for him and also liquid coral food (sea plankton).. is it dying??

couldn't get a reply from another place so i came here, the BTA was alright for the past 5 days getting fluffy and nice, its just suddenly.. tank's about 1week plus, close to 2weeks..

BTA acclimated by the increasing ratio of tank's water inside the bag before releasing..

1. your tank is very very young, I think to young for either the anemone or the clown a week and halfish isnt even enough time for a tank to fully cycle

2. yes your BTA is possibly dying, he can not survive off of flake food and liquid coral food, he needs small pieces of frozen deshelled non cooked table shrimp or silver sides chopped into very small pieces and fed 2-3 times a week at least at this point

Anemone's are not easy to take care off, they take alot of patience and time even in a more established tank, your tank should have been at least 6 mths old before you added one, with all that said, you have two choices feed it more and a better diet, make sure he has plenty of light, or take him back to the fish store and give your tank more time to mature, its just my opinion but at this point I would take it back to the store, outlook doesnt look very good
