Herbie overflow in a 93 cube need pics of return

I want to do a herbie overflow in a 93 cube. Unfortunately there are 2 holes drilled in the bottom of the overflow. Therefore the return has to come over the back wall. This would not be an issue other than the tanks is rimless. Has anyone done this? Anyone have pictures of how it looks?

I've just used the return pipe from a canister filter but my hose is only 16/22....
A glass lilly pipe may be another option.

You can put the return over the glass or drill it and put a bulkhead in it. It would work if you drilled a hole in the glass in the overflow box and then run the loc line over the box and into the display. I'm not sure of your room inside the box though. Not sure if you have the tank right up against a wall either..just a threaded 3/4in bulkhead and diamond hole saw is all you need

I thought of that, I have never drilled a tank though. I may run it through the wall of my laundry room. It will be in the center of the wall. Wish it was a center overflow instead of a corner

Not difficult at all. I've drilled a hand full to tanks. It's scary at first, but once you've done it a few times, no big deal. If you decided to go that route, just get some scrap glass and practice.

I've got a 93g rimless cube and the standard overflow/return through the bottom is dead silent.

i did this in my 60 cube, and i came up with my own return. I used 3/4" PVC 90s and a 3/4" PVC barb though you could use hard PVC for it all (which I may still do later) I also cut a piece of vinyl tubing down the center so i could sort of use it to hold the PVC bit from rocking around, and it works great. It works better than the other thing I bought which I show in the video. If you were hard plumbing it then you could just secure the pipe at stand anyway to prevent it from moving too much.

i ended up redoing emergency to just be a straight pipe though. the durso was messing things up.

I hooked the return to a sea swirl on my 60 cube. Needed to mod the bracket to fit the rimless tank (it's old).
