I got a new camera for xmas, a canon A640 10 Mega Pixel and i have found it very interesting to sit in front of my tank and my buddies tank and take photos. Im still playing with the ISO and the Shutter Speed so if you critique these, please go easy. LOL! I aim to improve my skills. I did some work to my newly established tank today and ill get more pics of it later tonight. But for now, here are some pics of my buddies tank. ENJOY!

There is a forum here on RC devoted to just us camera nerds and taking shots of our aquariums. Although I think you are doing superb with your shots so far, I have picked up some nice tricks by perusing through the forum.

so your saying im a nerd! Ill take that as a compliment...lol...ill find that forum Mike, thanks for the help man! Do you have some pics to share? Is it me or is ISO, Shutter speeds, and Aperture a pain in the ***. Thanks again Mike

Digital photography is totally awesome, albeit expensive - you sure know how to combine your hobbies. :) I use a Canon EOS 5D with a couple nice lenses for nifty shots playing with depth and aperture. What I have been having a difficult time figuring out is angled shots in the tank - with the whole water distortion when you look at it from an angle. Really trippy at times. I will see if I can condense a couple of my pics down for upload (the EOS takes 17MB shots ea... crazy large when trying to manipulate). In the meantime, snap away and keep uploading... I dig your setup!

i feel your pain abou the size of the images. Im using the new Canon A640 and mine are around 10MB ea. But that bugger puts out some kick *** photos for being a minature, wanna be Rebel. Thanks Mike!
