SUP GUYS
Well it all started with dating my wife 5 years ago and her dad had about a 60-65 gallon salt tank with zoas and mushrooms and i thought it was amazing
Even fell asleep in front of it one night
She moved in like a month later lol and they bought us a lil 20g fresh tank for me to start with
Not long after that i got lucky and got a free probably 50g tall corner tank from one of my moms friends that was just giving stuff away
Got that all setup and took the 20g down"¦but the goal was still always a salt tank
So started piecing a 75g salt together buying what i could when i could and all and found a tank on CL that had stand and a sump that he was using for a fresh tank so that would work perfectly
Set that up and had a few clowns and a yellow tang and blue tang"¦you know the normals i think pretty much every first salt tanker has lol
That went on for about a yearish and then"¦
"¦The wife wanted new floors...so i said ok then"¦time for a new tank for me lol
Didn't really know what i wanted to get but i now i want like a 125g plus so just started looking around and they had a 150g Tall at petsmart so started quickly thinking this is gonna be done right this time (IT WAS NOT) and the father in law built the stand and all for me and went strong for about 2 years
Long story short and the downfall of that tank was i was leaving for hockey one morning and tight fit thru the door and pulled the temp probe out of the tank and so for about 16 hours of the probe getting room temp air i came home at like 730 that night to a 98 degree tank :("¦all corals pretty much dead and only 1 fish death but def started a spiral and eventually the selling of the tank and stand on CL

Fast forward a few years later and after a dirt bike crash that left me with a broken left wrist and right ankle we decided to sell our dirt bikes so i started thinking of getting back in to racing RC cars and that quickly turned into WHAT ABOUT GETTING ANOTHER TANK and actually doing his one right lol

Started talking to my buddy Jon about everything since he stayed with it for the years i was out and doing research and all so i started getting getting a master list together of things needed / wanted had then plenty of time to start researching and watching videos on youtube like the new BRS 160 series

First thing i bought this time was RODI system right off the bat lol

But to get to the point my tank finally came in after a few months of and my father in law again is building the stand and it looks amazing

Will def post up when I can or get some new goodies in the mail

Tank :)

Thanks man
I plan to post like crazy but so much stuff going on haven't had as much time as id hoped to get the stand completely done

Still have a couple coats of sealer and some sanding to do

Going to look great.

How did pulling the temp probe cause the tank to get so hot?

When i left with my hockey bag I had the JBJ temp probe in my displa tank by the door so when i went thru the door it knocked my temp box off the side and i didn't notice it pulled the probe out also
So for over 12 hours it was ON :/

Getting back to it after a few weekends of having too much planned :/
Hopefully will have it completely sealed Sunday and start building the sump
Then next weekend finally set up ?? lol
