Here we go!

Well this morning was so neat. Everything just looks healthier in the tank. I have what I thought were purple sponges covering my largest rock that was perfectly smooth appears to be creating buds/polyps (????)..... I have no clue what the right terms are. I will be cool to learn what is taking place.

The Mantis put on a predation demonstration for me this morning as well. He attacked a large snail that ventured too close to his hole. I may have to get some extra rock and sand so I can make a small home for him.

have a great day everyone.

I had a very smooth purple sponge (almost shiny plastic looking) do the same thing. It appeared to 'bud' in several places. It happened right during the brunt of my cycle, and then they disappeared and ultimately a week later so did the whole sponge. I am wondering if it is a reactionary attempt at reproduction or something. I have noticed other stuff coming back now. Keep us posted on what happens to yours.

Well that is sort of a drag. It looks so good right now. Wonder if more frequent (but smaller volume) water changes would help?

nope..just let the tank ride.............
