What the heck is killing my hermits?

happens at night.
on average one a night.
I do have bristleworms
have tried to rule out pistol shrimp

I would say mantis shrimp. Also could be a hitch hiking octopus. I have heard of them tagging a long in live rock

Are they blue legged ones? My blue legs kill each other and sometimes other hermit species I have.

red legs. I have had the blue legs kill each other before, but not experienced it with red legs.

It could also be a xanthid crab. I have one in my tank that I can't catch. The darn thing has eaten so many snails and hermits that I have lost count. So annoying!
