Does anyone have experience with H. aurora (aka White Beaded Anemone)? Ive gotten a bit of real basic info on their wild behavior, but have had a tough time coming across any information regarding captive care. Thanks!
I have one . He has stayed in the same spot since I got him . Of course it is because of the metal halides . My clown hasn't shown any interest in him yet . I have a baby Oscillaris(sp?) . I have heard that clowns can take a long time to take to an anemone , or never even take to one . Its kinda a luck of the draw .
Yes, I have heard that to, how ever I went to a LFS that I was able to keep trading my anenomes (for store credit) utill I got one that the clown went to. I had a LTA that it didn't go to after about two months I traded it for a Carpet, it didn't go to that one so a week later I got a BTA that it went to in a day. So it may just not like the anenome, but they host by nature so they "may" end up going to it anyway even though they don't really like it... maybe..
I have one and i don't think he is doing to well. He was very large and then i added a pair of clarkii clowns. Ever sense he has been small and does not attach under the sand. The clowns also steal anything i feed him. Strange thing he doesn't like the light that much he moved to the darkest part of the tank.

I have had it for several months now. I have no idea what to do for it. All the corals are doing fine. water paramaters are perfect. maybe its the clownfish, or maybe its just sick. Anemones surely are very hard to keep.
I have had mine for 11 months. Has grown quite a bit during that time. Loves to eat silverside pieces. It has always stayed attached to the rocks and loves the lights-5x 39W T5HO over a 45G. This tank is home to 2 false percs who love their GBTA so they have never looked at it. It's mouth stays closed tightly and it is very quick to grab food.
