Hey anyone interested in setting up a group buy for T5 Teks

I would wait if you are interested in full fixtures. The ATI powermodule fixtures are reportedly coming in. IMO just as good of a look, better reflectors (a bit wider, easier to clean), and built in fans for active cooling (it certainly can't hurt).

Ati's are beautiful but the reflectors are not signifacantely going to alter light output once you have already reached a design such as the ones on the Teks and they are reportedly going to be coming in and they are probably going to be very very expensive.

Any comments please chime in.?

the price point I was told list is about 50 bux more than the comparable tek fixture. I have a tek and I can tell you that keeping the reflectors clean is annoying.

Don't get me wrong, I like the tek fixture, but the ATI intrigues me quite a bit.

moonpod - my google search didn't come up with much. Can you brief us on these new bulbs?

basically, the major complaint about T5 vs VHO is the lack of a bulb that gives that real nice fluorescesing effect that the URI super actinic did. Now URI/UVL has fixed that...

probably everybody. URI/UVL has never been a particularly "hard to find" brand.

I know that reefgeek, premium, etc...are bringing them in.
