What is a good way to build some size in those maroons I got from you? the female is good, but the little male needs to get a bit bigger.

reason: male slipped thru the grid on my overflow today and was trapped in there! He could swim around ok, but I had to get a hangar to coax him to the top so the flow forced him to the large chamber. I have a CPR tubeless. also, I am a bit worried that my hawkfish might view him as a meal. after i put him back into the tank, he was not near momma and the clam they are beginning to host with for safety...

I have cyclopeze and have used that to fatten fish up before..

Cyclop-eeze is great to get new fish to eat and to help bring out their color, but it isn't very good for growth. For that I've found table shrimp is great. Just shave it into small enough pieces for the clowns to eat. Enriched frozen adult brine shrimp is also a good food to try because they will really fill-up on it. Marine-gro dry food and spectrum pellets are two more that I've used and liked for growth.

FWIW male maroon clowns stay rather small even when mature. The females in our breeding pairs are quite large, but the males are around the size of your current female, even though they are several years old.

Oh.. didnt expect them to stay that small.. wow....I will tryosome of your suggestions. I have not had any trouble feeding them as they took frozen the first night and have accepted flake offerings as well. I feed formula 2 flake and throw in some emerald entree and cyclopeze every few days...
