Hello there!

I came across your club while googling a problem I've been having with my dosing pumps. I was pleasantly surprised to see a bunch of wine country locals!

My name is Justin and I live in Glen Ellen. I've been in the hobby for 10 or so years now and I've had many different tanks along the way, both fresh and salt. Since moving to CA 5 years ago I've only kept nanos and for the past few years I've been running a 9G reef with a 7G sump.

I pretty much exclusively hang out on Nano-Reef but I had to introduce myself here! Not sure if Nano-Reef linking is cool here or not but here's my tank thread and also my TOTM profile from last year.

Welcome to the club! I just got back into the game. We used to have meetings but I haven't had a tank for a year so I'm not sure. I hope we do because they were always a ton of fun

Gotcha. It's hard to stay away! Setting up a new tank is always a blast.

I'll keep an eye out for meeting announcements.

Where do you guys typically get your livestock from? Local trades, online, or?

Welcome!

Welcome!

Welcome! I am pretty new to this site and the whole hobby. Your tank looks great. Did you get the Goby and Shrimp already paired at the fish store?

Thanks! It's a great hobby to be involved in.

The goby and pistol I purchased separately. The shrimp was already established in the tank so when I introduced the goby I tried to steer him towards one of the tunnel entrances. The shrimp came out, looked at the goby sitting there and then they both tuned and went down the tunnel together. Pretty neat to witness them pair up like that!

That's awesome. I am hoping to have a pair in my tank soon. Good to know they pair up easily.
