Do you think i should go for the 24 x 24 x 12 tank because of the surface space?

Or go with oceanic 30 gallon cube from the contrast collection.

I think it all depends on what you are going for.

If you are going for a tidepool look and want to look down on your tank, then go with the 24x24x12.

If you want to view mostly from the side then go with the Oceanic. The 150watt MH might not allow you to keep high light anemones in the Oceanic, if that was what you were going for.

Personally, If you are going to have a tank built, I would go with a 24x24x16. That would give you the best of both worlds. A 12" high tank is great for a frag tank, but not very good for side viewing.

Sorry that was supposed to be a PM GSM

I am going to be moving my Akinydos Pair and RBTAs over to whatever tank i choose.

I have a 10 -12 inch RBTA in a tank with the pair now.

I agreen with phender on reasons for the tank more of tide pool look to it.

Korelia is making a new pump that half the size of the korelia 1. I was planning on putting on on each side.

I do not want to get the tank drilled or have over flows. I would probably use a canister filter along with a hang on skimmer along the back

FWIW, I have a few ( home made) 24x24x16 tanks, and they are a perfect size IMO. They can still be nice as a lookdown (between surges) but also provide plenty of space for a front view
