I have had a tank crash. Back when I had my 60g I was out of town during a power outage. When the power came back, my wife called and told me that everything came back up fine. What she missed was the chiller pump that never restarted. When I flew back home the next day, the tank was 90 degrees and I lost all of my SPS.

I travel a lot now so my 180 is largely a FOWLR tank. I'm just not home enough to have a successful SPS tank. I don't buy into the whole "LE" thing. Most of them are just gimicks, from the folks trying to improve their profits. I believe that we should buy corals based on their scientific name alone. The whole, "armour of purple people eater superman godzilla ring of fire" crap just harms the hobby IMO.
